Gyvlon screeds are manufactured from selected aggregates (finer than typical concrete aggregates) and recycled calcium sulphate binder, a by-product from Hydrofluoric acid. This self-compacting, free-flowing screed is manufactured to BSEN 13813:2002

Gyvlon Liquid Screed
How do Gyvlon Screeds Work?

Our technical advisors are on hand if you would prefer to call us to discuss.
What Are The Benefits Of Liquid Screed?
Gyvlon is much more fluid than sand cement screeds. That means it is considerably quicker to install (up to 10X faster), which reduces manual labour time, meaning more cost efficiency.
Gyvlon has a smaller shrinkage profile than sand cement screeds. That means there are fewer points of weakness in the screed finish because it allows a reduction in expansive joints. These factors can contribute towards a visually better floor finish.
Gyvlon is well-suited to applications needing exceptional hygiene, such as medical areas. Unlike sand cement screeds, it is 100% protein-free and cannot harbour harmful bacteria.
How Quickly Does Gyvlon Cure?
You can start allowing foot traffic within 24-48 hours after installation and complete loading after seven days.
Gyvlon is liquid and self-compacting, thus eliminating the need for smoothing compounds necessary for some floor finishes before application.
Gyvlon cures quickly and forms a self-curing membrane during curing, removing the need for polythene sheeting, which reduces shrinkage and eliminates curling.
How Fast Does Gyvlon Dry?
You can speed up the drying process by force drying or leave Gyvlon to dry naturally at around 1mm daily up to 40mm. For anything deeper, allow an additional 0.5mm per day drying time.
The benefit of Gyvlon is that you can install it thinner than standard sand cement, which can mean faster drying times.
What Are the Best Applications for Gyvlon?
Gyvlon is ideal for underfloor heating. It improves reaction time and reduces flow temperatures because it has minimal pipe covering and high thermal conductivity.
